After a conversation with Noam Chomsky, linguist, philosopher, historian, theorist of communication, I was authorized to use extracts from his book manifesto Requiem for the American dream: The 10 principles of Wealth & Power (2017) within my work American Dream. Through an installation of black and white posters that combines street art and protest’s acts from the 70s, arises a vision of a society in accelerated decline. Bringing together philosophy, history and ideology, on Chomsky's words are superimposed handwritten words from Discipline by P.Orrige, juxtaposing in a visual metaphor the monotonous sounds of factory work with the controversial re-appropriation of totalitarian symbolism.
